For fifty years Don served on the full-time faculty of Columbia University where his positions included chair of the International Business Division.  He has spent considerable time working in and visiting many countries including China, Italy, Brazil, South Korea, France, India, Japan, Iran, Portugal, and Australia.  The solo shows consist of paintings based on his visits to these countries.  His works show people at work, at play, or just walking around.  Don tries to tell stories with his art.
